With reference to your letter of the 21st June, I'm directed by the Earl of Kimberley to inform you that the despatch from the Governor of Hongkong respecting your claim to count the sum paid towards pension as Surgeon to the Lock Hospital, has received due consideration and he has decided that the amount of pension which has been assigned to you shall remain as it has been fully decided in his Lordship's minute in conjunction with the Treasury and that the matter cannot be re-opened.
